Why Mystic Stone?

“God has given our sanitariums an opportunity to set in operation a work that will be as a stone instinct with life, growing as it is rolled by an invisible hand. Let this mystic stone be set in motion.”

Ellen G White. Testimonies to the Church vol 7

In the above quotation, Ellen White describes the medical missionary work as a mystic stone. This living stone has the possibility to grow larger, but it grows as the stone is in movement. What sets the mystic stone in motion? Adventist sanitariums.

Adventist sanitariums (lifestyle centers) are the key institution that will stimulate the expansion and growth of medical evangelism.

For far too long in Canada, the sanitarium work has been woefully neglected by lay members and church leaders alike. Thus medical evangelism in Canada is nearly lifeless.

However, this is changing.

Starting in 2021, a small group of Ontario Adventists began laying the foundations of what is becoming a growing sanitarium movement in Canada. This website shares the story and vision of this pioneering group of Adventist Canadians to see this mystic stone come to life and grow, initiated by the powerful work and influence of Adventist sanitariums.
