Current projects needing your support
Paradise Health Clinic, Newmarket
Compassion Health Initiative - $100,000 / year
To provide funding for the clinic’s Compassion health initiative which extends services to the many people in Newmarket who do not have health insurance coverage or are potentially in financial difficulties (single mothers, disability, unemployed, etc) and thus have difficulty accessing lifestyle medicine services. The goal is to be able to provide this service to the under-serviced throughout the year (currently only offered twice a year over two months).

Primary care screening - $120,000 / year
Waiting lists to get onto the roster of a Family Physician can be 500 to 1000 people in various clinics in Newmarket. This means that there are thousands in Newmarket without a Family doctor and without easy access to annual blood tests which is an important component of healthcare. Naturopathic doctors are able to order all standard blood tests but these are not OHIP covered. Financial support will allow the clinic to help an estimated 1000 people to access essential screening blood tests while removing finances as a barrier.
